Safety Checklist

Measure Accurately: Use ONLY the oral syringe/cup provided with the medication.

Weight-Based Dosing: Always dose based on your child's current weight, not their age.

Intervals: Do not give more than 5 doses in 24 hours for Acetaminophen.

Acetaminophen (Tylenol)

Liquid Concentration: 160 mg / 5 mL

Infants Under 3 Months

DO NOT give Acetaminophen to infants under 3 months without a doctor's order. Newborn fevers require immediate evaluation.

Infants Under 6 Months

DO NOT give Ibuprofen to infants under 6 months of age. Give with food or milk to prevent stomach upset.

Allergy & Hives

Emergency & Home Care

For mild symptoms or hives, we recommend Zyrtec (Cetirizine) or Claritin (Loratadine). These provide 24-hour non-drowsy relief.


URGENT: CALL 911 IF:

  • • Difficulty breathing, wheezing, or "barking" cough
  • • Swelling of the tongue, lips, or throat
  • • Fainting, dizziness, or skin turning blue
  • • Severe hives combined with vomiting or stomach pain
