How do I schedule an appointment?
The best way to schedule is by calling our office during business hours or by requesting an appointment through our Patient Portal at your convenience.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes! We always welcome new families to the Pediatric Care Specialists community. Contact our office for more information.
How do I transfer care to PCS?
Simply call us at (814) 266-8840. We will help you set up the first appointment and assist with requesting prior medical records to ensure your child’s history is ready.
What insurances do you accept?
We accept most major plans, including Highmark, UPMC, United Healthcare, Aetna, Gateway, and Access Plus. Please verify coverage with your provider prior to your visit.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
Yes. We reserve numerous same-day appointments for sick patients every day. We also offer walk-in hours and virtual visits.
Can I talk to a doctor after hours?
Yes. When you call after hours, you will speak directly with the doctor on call for any urgent concerns or medical advice.
Do you have weekend hours?
We know illness doesn't always happen during business hours. We offer late-evening, weekend, and holiday hours to better serve our families.
Can I request a specific provider?
Yes! Please let the receptionist know your preference when scheduling. While we try to accommodate all requests, note that specific providers may not be in every office location daily.
Why are vaccinations important?
Immunizations protect your child from serious diseases. Per the AAP, vaccinations have reduced vaccine-preventable infections by more than 90%. Contact us if you have any questions.
